Spring Has Sprung Some New Tastes!
Spring is the time for bright colors and fresh fruit. Here are some bright and refreshing cocktails for spring from your friends at Bill’s Package Store.
Horseshoe Margarita
Ingredients:
- 2 parts tequila
- 1 part fresh-squeezed lime juice
- ½ part agave nectar
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake hard so that some of the ice melts, then strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge. Salt rim optional.

French 75
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. London dry gin
- 1 tsp. superfine sugar
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- 5 oz. Brut champagne
Directions:
Shake gin, sugar and lemon juice well with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker. Strain into a glass half-full of cracked ice. Top off with champagne.

Green Fizz
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. dry gin
- 1 tsp. green creme de menthe
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp. superfine sugar
- club soda
Directions:
Shake strenuously with cracked ice in a chilled shaker, then strain into a Collins glass.

Bacardi Swizzle
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Bacardi rum
- 1 tsp. superfine sugar
- ½ oz. lime juice
- seltzer
- 6-8 dashes Angostura bitters
Directions:
Stir sugar and lime juice in Collins glass. Add rum. Fill glass with finely cracked ice, then add seltzer to fill. Stir until glass frosts. Shake in bitters to cover the top.
